All of us here at OKOTO believe deeply in the importance of giving back. We believe that success - at any level - should be utilized in a way that brings about positive change. It never mattered that we were starting small, just as long as we were able to make a difference on a larger scale. Cool clothes are awesome, but sometimes a mosquito net or some clean water for a family on the other side of the world is more important.
From our first product line, we have been dedicating a portion of proceeds from select tees to different non-profits and community organizations. Our support has since extended itself to hosting, as well as sponsoring, benefits and charity events.
We are now taking OKOTO+relief one step further by developing a platform that allows our customers to donate to the non-profit of their choice with every OKOTO purchase.
Together we can make a difference in communities across the globe … one t-shirt at a time.

In 2008 we were introduced to AAS, a non-profit dedicated to actions sports athletes, artists and musicians living with permanent disabilities. Our work with them grew from sponsoring East Coast events, to the 2008 Summer X Games 14 and more. Read on ...
We're proud to be among the annual sponsors for Animal Liberation Orchestra's benefit tour for Music In Schools Today, a San Francisco Bay Area non-profit organization with national impact, advocating for and developing measurable music-in-education programs that improve student achievement.
WAVES for Development uses surfing to make the world a better place through Educational Surf programs and Adventure Voluntourism programs that engage travelers and transform their world view. OKOTOrelief is in the works with WAVES and hopes to support this incredible non-profit as it continues to grow.
This foundation empowers financially disadvantaged kids by providing scholarships for students to participate in the Longacre Expeditions summer program. OKOTO will design the LEAF Family Adventure Fundraiser tees and looks forward to future opportunities to support LEAF kids.
We were proud sponsors of the 2009 SEAPaddleNYC. Over 100 paddlers come from around the world to paddle the 28 miles arund New York to benefit SEA, Surfer's Healing, Austism Speaks, Autism Family Services of NJ and Autism NJ.
We believe strongly in Longacre's philosophy to teach teenagers confidence through success in the many challenges, skills and activities they will encounter on a Longacre Expedition. We are sharing the love for this great organization by designing and providing the staff and campers with radical tees.
In 2008, we proudly donated to a benefit for Rock and Wrap It Up, an organization devoted to developing innovative greening solutions to the pressing issues of hunger and poverty in America. We love their mission and hope to do more with them again.
The mission of Ryan's Quest, to increase awareness of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy with the purpose of allocating funds for research to finding a cure or treatment, is intense and incredibly well received. We were among the sponsors of their holiday expo and plan to stay involved with this amazing local charity.
